Bona Prime Classic

Bona Prime Classic 5 Ltr - Primer is the recommended primer to use before application of Bona's top-coat varnishes such as Bona Mega.

Bona Prime Classic is a high solids, single component waterborne acrylic primer for use on wooden floors. It seals soft and hardwoods prior to overcoating with Bona waterborne finishes.

Bona Prime Classic gives the surface a well-bodied appearance and reduces the risk of side bonding due to its flexibility.

• Reduced risk of side bonding (when the finish seeps down between the boards & glues them together), i.e. especially suitable for endgrain floors, softwood plank floors and hardwood floors with underfloor heating.

Application

• All wooden floors should be sanded back to raw wood and be dry and free of all oils, waxes, dirt, etc., before application.
• Vacuum well to remove all dust.
• Use Bona Gap Master to fill gaps between floor boards and skirting boards.
• Use Bona Mix and Fill Plus to fill holes and other surface imperfections.
• Mix well before use. Apply with a Bona floor mop, roller or paint brush.
